There are 47 UNESCO World Heritage sites in Italy. More than any other country in the world. If you are wondering about places to see along your route, the list of these sites is a good to start: most of these sites would probably be on most people’s list of must-sees in Italy. Some of the sites are pretty obvious like Roma, Venezia and Firenze but others are much less well-known.
