UNESCO World Heritage sites in Italy

Published on:  | Last updated: 2 April 2018

There are 47 UNESCO World Heritage sites in Italy. More than any other country in the world. If you are wondering about places to see along your route, the list of these sites is a good to start: most of these sites would probably be on most people’s list of must-sees in Italy. Some of the sites are pretty obvious like Roma, Venezia and Firenze but others are much less well-known.

There are more than 47 stars on the map because a number of these ‘sites’ are in several locations. Click on the star for links to more information on the UNESCO World Heritage website.
